This Privacy Policy explains how OutThere Collective LLC ("we", "our", "us") collects, uses, stores, protects, and shares your personal information when you use or interact with our services, including our mobile application and website (collectively, "OutThere").
INFORMATION WE COLLECT
We collect information from you when you use or access OutThere. This includes information you provide to us and information we collect automatically. We may also combine those two types of information with the same types of information that another user provides us about you.
Information you provide to us
- Account Information. When you create an OutThere account, you provide us with your name, username, password, and email address. You may also choose to provide information about your interests or preferences in relation to our services. If you register as a business on OutThere, you may also provide your phone number.
- Content you create. After signing up for an OutThere account, you can create and upload content to the service. For example, you can create events that are displayed in the service. When you create an event, you may provide information about the event, including when and where it is occurring, an event description, and other information about the event. You may also upload and share files that are connected to the event.
- Actions you take in our services. We collect information about how you use OutThere and your activities on the services. This information includes which features of the services that you engage with and users, events, or communities you may interact with.
- Other information you chose to provide. You may have the ability to submit additional information as you use our services.This additional information includes things like feedback or information that you submit to our support teams.
Information we collect automatically
- Device information. When you access our services, we may collect information about your device such as your IP address, operating system, browser information, and information about your device settings.
- Location information. If you choose to share your location, we derive an approximate location based on your mobile device’s GPS.
- How you use our services. We collect log and usage information related to how and when you use our services, like how you engage with features, events, and communities.
- Other information. When you interact with features outside our services but related to our services, we may receive information about you. For example, if you click on a shared link that takes you to an event or profile on OutThere, we may receive information about the source of that link.
HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
We use your information to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve our services and develop new services;
- Personalize our services, content, and features to match your activities, preferences, and settings;
- Ensure the safety of our services, users, and community;
- Provide customer service;
- Communicate with you about our services, including events and communities you have engaged with.
HOW WE SHARE YOUR INFORMATION
We share your information:
- With your consent. We may share your information at your direction. For example, if you create an event on OutThere, we publish that event in our application. The details of an event can be accessed by both users with and without an account that are in the geographic radius for an event. When you express that you are going to an event on OutThere or follow a community, your name and username are shared with the event or community host. If you have an OutThere account, you may also choose to share your profile with other users.
- With service providers. We may provide information to third party service providers that we hire to perform specific work for us, like payment processors or cloud providers.
- To comply with the law. We may disclose information if we believe disclosure is in accordance with, or required by, any applicable law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, including, but not limited to, meeting national security or law enforcement requirements. To the extent the law allows it, we will attempt to provide you with prior notice before disclosing your information in response to such a request.
- In an emergency. We may share information if we believe it's necessary to prevent imminent and serious bodily harm to a person.
- In an aggregated or de-identified form. We may disclose information that has been aggregated or anonymized such that it cannot reasonably be used to identify you. For example, we may share aggregated user statistics in order to describe our business or show how many users are attending an event.

Cookies are small text files placed on your computer or device. We may use cookies and other similar technology to store and track personal information about you. If you prefer that we do not use cookies, you can disable cookies in your web browser’s or device’s privacy settings

We retain personal information until we determine it is no longer necessary for the purposes for which we collected or retained it or for legal compliance.

- Deleting your account. You can delete your account by contacting us through your Profile Settings or by emailing us at support@outthere.app.
- Controlling your device or browser settings. You may opt not to share your location or remove or reject cookies in your device or browser settings.
- Requesting your information. If you want to see what information we have collected about you, you can request a copy of your data by emailing us at privacy@outthere.app.
CALIFORNIANS
If you are a resident of California, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act ("CCPA") and California Consumer Rights Act. You may request specifics regarding the Personal Information (as defined by the Acts) collected by us during the preceding twelve months. You may request the following: i) the specific Personal Information we have collected about you, ii) information regarding the categories of Personal Information we have collected from you, iii) the categories of sources from which we have collected this Personal Information, (iv) the commercial purposes for collecting the Personal Information, and (v) the categories of third parties with whom we have shared the Personal Information. CHILDREN
Children under the age of 16 are not allowed to create an account or otherwise use our services.
CHANGES TO THE PRIVACY POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make updates, we will publish the updated Privacy Policy in our services. If changes are significant, we’ll provide a more prominent notice as required by law, such as by emailing you or highlighting the changes within our services.
